This is a Comprehensive Review of the VBR200W Blu-ray Player from ...

A High Definition TV has already become the usual choice in America, with about 60% of homes owning one. More than twelve percent are planning on getting one in the near future. The move towards possessing an HDTV is a global phenomenon. You achieve optimum use from an HDTV by coupling it with a Blu-ray player. Online streaming is one of the hottest internet activities, letting you view video from anywhere in the world, television programs and films. A good number of people think that the Blu-ray experience is already in the past. Yet, online streaming cannot compare to the quality you get from viewing from a Blu-ray disc.

Now you have the opportunity to enjoy the quality of Blu-ray not only with discs, but also streaming, with the up-to-date players. This benefit is offered by the VBR200W, the current Blu-ray player from Vizio. It?s not radically different from Vizio?s earlier Blu-ray players, except for severala few new functionalities. These include Wi-Fi capability and their Internet Apps, which lets you see streaming movies from Netflix and VUDU through a wireless connection. The front panel of the VBR200W features the controls, which are touch sensitive, and the player is a mere 2.4 inches thick. A high-gloss black finish endows the Blu-ray player with hi-tech looks, while the disc tray is situated in the center of the front panel.

The input and output connections are hidden on the player?s rear end. With a Blu-ray disc, the quality of video is a brilliant Full HD 1080p, and HD levels are approached playing just regular DVDs. Component, HDMI, and ComPosite outputs provide three means to connect the video. Connecting by way of the HDMI option allows for top video quality with both regular DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

Digital Optical/Coaxial and analog outputs are more connections, while with HTMI, you obtain fascinating audio quality with 7.1 multi-channel surround sound. While you do get internal decoding for DTS-Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD, 7.1 analog utputs are not supplied. Streaming of films, news, TV programs, music, funny videos and other content is done using the Vizio VBR200W player?s Internet Apps. There is a wide range of other online services you can take advantage of, a selection of which is The New York Times, Associated Press, Pandora Internet Radio and social networking sites Facebook and Twitter. An onboard ethernet port and wireless capability provide two means to connect to the internet, which is a requirement for obtaining streaming content.

On top of an owner?s manual, you get a quick-start guide to help use the unit with easy. It?s unfortunate that you won?t have the capability to stream music or video files straight from your PC to the player. The outstanding video and audio produced by the VIZIO VBR200W Blu-ray Player are but two of the reasons for purchasing one. With HDMI, video playback on a Blu-ray disc is Full HD 1080p. DTS-HD and Dolby Digital TrueHD audio signals are internally decoded. The VBR200W has access to a number of web streaming services including VUDU, Netflix, etc., in addition it has Wi-Fi built in. Two inadequacies of the Vizio VBR200W player are that it has no DLNA capability nor does it have a Quick Start Mode.

If you are looking for a Blu-ray player,The Vizio VBR200W provides you many features at a very reasonable price. The menu on the VBR200W is easy to use, you cann connect to Wi-Fi, online streaming, and simply superb video and audio quality. The VBR200W should be priced in-store for under $200.
