ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy rugby coach Mike Flanagan and men's track and field thrower Zack Duncavage are featured on this week's edition of the Navy Sports Magazine radio show. Bob Socci is the host of the 30-minute show.
Flanagan will lead Navy into the 2013 Varsity Cup Rugby Championship Eastern Super Regional this Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The No. 6 seed Navy will face No. 3 Dartmouth at 3:30 PM, following the first game at 1:30, which will feature No. 2 California going against No. 7 Notre Dame.
Duncavage recently broke his own school record in the discus (185-2) by winning the event at the Army-Navy Star Meet, which Navy won, 105-97. Navy has swept Army in the indoor and outdoor series in each of the last two seasons and won the 2013 Patriot League Indoor Championship.
The Navy Sports Magazine show will air on 1430 AM/99.5 FM WNAV in Annapolis on Thursday at 6:00 PM and on Saturday on WFED 1500 AM in Washington, D.C. at 1:00 PM. Fans can also listen to the show immediately by using the link at the top of the page.
