Douglas Everett Fisk - Amos Family Funeral Home

Douglas Everett Fisk was born July 20, 1919, in Providence, Rhode Island,?to F.W. and Emma Fisk and died February 16, 2013, at Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas.?

?

He graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a degree in chemistry then did graduate work at MIT.? During the war he worked for Hercules Powder Co. in several states, then transferred to the BF Goodrich Chemical Co. in 1947 where he held a number of positions including production manager.? He retired in 1979.?

?

Doug was active in his local church as worship leader and tenor soloist and had a vital interest in missions.? He enjoyed oil painting, woodworking, and calligraphy and designed the bicentennial logo for the city of Danville, Pennsylvania.?

?

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rachel; three children, David (Margie), Virginia (Burton) Schafer, and James; four grandsons, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Gregory and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson, Nathan and Abigail; a brother, Robert; two step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services

A private interment followed by a memorial service at? Lakeview Village are planned for Friday, February 22, 2013, at 2:30 p.m.
