Internet Marketing Rules Blog: Email Marketing Strategies That Work ...

Do you focus alot on email marketing? Email marketing is something that has taken a hit in the past couple of years, and some people even feel that RSS marketing will replace email marketing some day. I?m not sure of that prediction, but I do know that email marketing still works, and you can use it to your advantage if you want to get alot of sales.

If you?re going to do email marketing, you will DEFINITELY have to do it when it comes to backend marketing. Backend marketing simply means that you will be selling to your existing customers over and over again. This is where 80% of your total business profits will come from. So if you?re not focusing on your current customers, you?re missing out on a humongous profit source.

Now I?ve done some testing, and have tested different price points, but for all of my products, just leading people to the sales page and not generating a lead has worked better for me. But when it comes to selling to my brand new (and ?old?) customers, I definitely use email marketing in my business. And the conversion rates are much higher.

I like this form of marketing, but you have to make it a point to build a relationship with your customers, and deliver to them high quality information if you want to get them to buy your products. Include mini details about your life, then delve straight into the heart of the matter.

Give your backend customers some great information that they can go out and use right away, all while mentioning and suggesting your products at the same time. This is the best way to do email marketing in my opinion. When doing email marketing, you will need to find a way to automate it so that you can focus more time on other marketing chores.

One great way (and perhaps the best way) to automate your emailing is with an autoresponder. I use an autoresponder website called Aweber to automate the mailing out of emails to my list. Aweber is very flexible and newbie friendly, and they walk you through the setup process step-by-step. I think you should check them out.

It?s in your best interest to stick to plain text emails - instead of HTML. Some email providers have graphics and images blocked by default, so if you send out an HTML email with pictures and graphics? it probably won?t look right once it reaches your prospect?s email inbox.

But if you stick to plain text emails, you don?t have to worry about this. Plus, plain text emails are easy to make, and are very effective also. Your goal should be to drive people back to your website so that you can get more sales. Don?t overcomplicate the process - you?ll wind up spinning your wheels.

Take these email marketing tips and use them to have the success in your business that you are looking for. It will be more than worth it.

Good luck with your email marketing efforts and making money online.
