2013 USATF indoor schedule to feature live coverage for all events

USA Track & Field?s indoor track and field television schedule for the first time will feature live coverage of all events, USATF announced Tuesday. Each of three meets will be aired both live and on tape-delay for a national audience.

The 2013 Indoor USATF Championship Series season will kick off Saturday, Feb. 2, in Boston with the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. It moves to New York for the 106th Millrose Games on Saturday, Feb. 16, before concluding with the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships March 1-3, in Albuquerque, N.M. Competition in Albuquerque begins Friday, March 1, with men?s and women?s combined events, and continues Saturday and Sunday with a full schedule.

The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be delivered live on ESPN3 on Feb. 2 and on tape-delay on ESPN2 Sunday, Feb. 3, from 2-4 p.m. The Millrose Games will be delivered live on ESPN3 on Feb. 16 and from 8-10 p.m. on Feb. 17 on ESPN. All times Eastern.

Coverage of Saturday?s competition at the USA Indoor Championships will be carried live on Universal Sports from 6-8 p.m. Eastern on March 2, and the final day of competition will air live on the NBC Sports Network from 4-6 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, March 3.

?As our business model continues to evolve, two key components are our broadcast strategy and event strategy,? USATF CEO Max Siegel said. ?In 2013, we will be bringing our events to the public in new ways while developing new broadcast properties outside of the realm of traditional track meets.?
